Thank you to the 730 volunteers from companies all over the region who completed more than 100 service projects for local nonprofit agencies. Your service provided more than $131,283 worth of volunteer hours. Impressive!
What is Day of Caring? Day of Caring exemplifies what it means to LIVE UNITED and provides benefits for both nonprofit organizations and volunteer teams. The one-day event gives individuals the chance to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand to local nonprofit agencies, while learning more about programs tailored to meet the needs of the community. United Way Blackhawk Region's Day of Caring provides these local nonprofits with the means to complete tasks that they may not have been able to accomplish otherwise due to a lack of personnel, budget or resources. All nonprofit agencies in Rock County, WI and northern Winnebago County, IL are welcome to participate.
